Every year, Linde Healthcare presents an award to the Swedish Association for Pain in Childhood (SAPC) in support of its crucial work to improve pain management for children. The 2015 scholarship has been presented to Maria Forsner, a researcher in Nursing Science at Dalarna University.
Torbjörn Nilson is a Therapy Specialist at Linde Healthcare in Stockholm. He works with the healthcare sector, presenting therapies based on at Linde Healthcare’s product offering to healthcare professionals. His main focus is pain relief, using nitrous oxide (also known as laughing gas) and related products.
Linde helps fund key research
“We believe it’s important to support research and development in key areas,” explains Nilson. “What many people don’t know is that children are more sensitive to pain than adults. We hope this award will help prevent children from developing a fear of doctors and hospitals from an early age.”
“At SAPC, we seek to improve understanding of pain through education, as well as the promotion of research and dissemination of knowledge,” says Ulla Caverius former Chairman of SAPC, MD and specialist in anaesthesia, intensive care and pain relief.
